Voice capture: a whole meeting in thirty seconds

BY Sam IdowuEngineeringFILED UNDER HOW-TO

The best time to capture a meeting is the ninety seconds after it ends, while the details are still warm. Here's the debrief pattern we use ourselves.

Open your chat app and just talk. Cover four things: who you met, how you got there, what was said, what happens next. Don't order it, don't clean it — the Book does the parsing.

Who, how, what, next. Say it once.

A real example: "Just left coffee with Daniel Okafor, Priya introduced us, he runs data at Granular, they're rebuilding their pipeline in the autumn, I said I'd send our integration one-pager Friday." That single breath files a person, a connection, a company note and a dated task.

If you forget something, add it later — "also Daniel mentioned they use Snowflake" — and it files to the same record. Captures merge; nothing duplicates.

Thirty seconds of talking beats ten minutes of typing you were never going to do.
